hello,
Im building a chicken coop and run and and i have found everthing i need but i can find anything that tell me how high i need the fence in the run(out side part) ive got the inside part sorted just not the outside. so how high do i need it.

Make it at least 2m high and cover the top. It will stop the chooks getting out & it will stop hawks, foxes etc from getting in! Bury the bottom too if poss to stop foxes digging under.

Ours is about 2m high and it seems to be pretty good. Chickens are make great pets i recommend them to everyone. We live in Sydney and they make next to no noise and dont even bother our neighbors who seem to have a problem with us. Theyre great for eggs. Or maybe youre planning to eat them...

dont know the species name but they are a light brown.

bury the fence about a foot or so under the ground, or dig in some corrugated iron to stop foxes. clip ONE wing of each chook, then they won't fly out even if the fence isn't high enough.
