Rat Worming

Probably a silly question but as I just realised the other day, the small animal wormer for the rats and mice only treats for roundworm.

Would you be able to use worm rid product for reptiles, in the correct dosage for body weight of course? As this treats for roundworm, hookwork, pinworm, flukes, and tapeworms.

I'd ask your vet... its possible that freezing them kills them...

else... they might prescribe something..

Yeh but id rather have heathly rodents to start with, as its not always possible to freeze for a few weeks when your running low, plus its cruel to let them live with that.

I don't think any of mine would have worms but its always good as a precaution.

the problem with useing the reptiles worm rid is that it has the two drugs in a ratio for reptiles. so if you need a certain amount of prazyquantil then the fenbendazole might be to much if that makes sense. typically its pretty safe though, i make up my own wormers for the rats. yo could always calculate a mixture useing drontal
