AHGs, how they got to Australia.

They turned up at my old joint in Camp Hill in Brisbane in the mid 90s.

What I dont get in that report are the conflicting statements "You might as well enjoy them" followed by "We suspect that they're outcompeting native geckos". Are they conflicting statements or
does that really mean we shouldn't really be concerned about the threat they pose to native species?

I dunno. I suppose in Brisbane suburbia there are not many native gex on houses anyway, and the AHGs dont seem to like the aussie bush. Their preferred habitat is human dwellings.

I was born and raised in Darwin and they have been there as long as I can remember. I am 40yrs old so it is surprising to hear that they only arrived in 1983.
