I only need enough for one murray darling but i find adult mice for me are around 4 to 5 dollars each. i am thinking about just getting one male three females and then breeding them. then just cull off the babies at the required size using Co2?
any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Heyy.. :)
Just a silly question- How many times a week should I be holding my yearling black and gold jungle python. The last couple of times I have held him she has tried to nip me (always my head!). I have heard around every 3-4 days? I am wanting to tame her a bit.
Also, Is it okay that I open the lid to my enclosure once every 1-2 days, just to fix the tank.? It seems to annoy the python as she goes to hide every time I go near the tank lol!

Thankss :)

Hello APS members, some news about this forthcoming big event in Far North Queensland!

Scales & Tails Australia is proud to announce that it is now a sponsor for this event, more details of which will be in the September edition of the magazine, and will be in the post from mid next week (it's currently at the printers...)

We are also please to advise that ExoTerra has come aboard as a sponsor as well, and the founder and manager of ExoTerra, Emmanuel Van Heygen, will be giving a presentation on 'extreme field' herping at the Symposium.

This event promises to be one of the biggest yet held in this country, and boasts a fantastic lineup of international and local speakers, including Michael Cermak, a leading GTP breeder, well known to members of APS.

Stay tuned for more details...

hi everyone, im disabled with limited walking ability and after years of thinking and research, i have decided on snakes as a pet because of photography and a love for snakes, 2yrs ago i had 1 total knee recon and the acl/mcl replaced on the other and had 4 vertebra fused in my back and as such i cant walk a dog or sustain long activity so i was always thinking about frogs or snakes as a pet as i can not wash/walk/play with a dog and etc etc im currently in process of getting a murry darling (yearling as i wanted a well established animal 1st up not a hatchie)and next year a jungle.
I just wanted to say thanks for all your help recently i got many private messages and advice from colin and other members and i think many other disabled people should think of reptiles/insects/arachnids as pets.

thanks everyone and get used to me cause im here for good :)
