No, it's not aviery. It's only portable mesh enclosure made for reptile. I use it to bask my blue tongue and snake in sunny day.

I am in melbourne. It will be too cold for outside aviery :)

I have 5 enclosures, I have made all but one, I usually find or buy old tv/video stands or small wardrobes and convert them. Building the enclosure yourself is half the fun.

Yes he is a reptile vet, there is only two reptile specialist reptile vets that I can find in melb.

Only feed frozen, there has been no other reason for a tear in the trachea, and he has seen it twice before from frozen mise, and numerous times from live rodents.

Finally after consulting the vet my snake has a torn trachea from eating a mouse backwards, hopefully with rest and good handling he will recover

It not really a hissing sound, high pitched really, the is not signs of any mucus in nose or mouth, no signs of air bubbles, he doesn't hold his head evelaved any more than normal, but I will go to...

Thanks for the advise insectovor & africanciclidau, The only rept vet that I can find in melb is for far away from here that I can only go on the weekend, so I will keep my eye on him until then.

I also notice that he opens his mouth very wide alot tonight, as if to yawn or to get more air in or out.

He is budding his head against rough surfaces for the past few days. He has not shed for about 1 month now. I have not had to use a reptile vet in melbourne yet, and recommendations?

He has been doing it for the past few days. The sound is not constant, and is a squeeking sound, almost as if he is talking or calling out.
The temp is usually about about 29 at the basking spot,...
