yea just run the fluro on a timer. I'm not sure about caging the fluro, probably a good idea tho as it could break the bulb or get burnt by the ballast.

yes thats fine, make sure you use a thermostat to control the ceramic as they get hot, is there a cage around the heater? the fluro will replicate the day/night cycle for the python.

So your heat source uses ES light fittings (screw in type)? Go to coles and buy a normal light globe with screw in fitting this will be your heat, but it will emit light so get another URS one asap....
