I second that notion. I think its a Gehyra variegata due to the stronger pattern. Surely there is some way to find a home for it. It will probably be even easier if it is a G. variegata.

The DEC were really quick with processing my lisence... but that doesn't really help you does it.

Also you could do a biology degree and then get a job as a Herpetologist/Ecologist and do fauna surveys. I think this is only really an option in the northern states, not sure...

Wilson and Swan is good. It covers things pretty well and they just brought out the 2nd edition. Cogger is also good but it is getting out of date (2000) and good luck finding a copy for under $400....
