No, but you should if:

- The snake crawls through its own feces
- The snake has a sloughing problem
- Or the snake enjoys a warm bath (But you shouldn't do it too frequently, as it is a treat).

Just make sure when you receive the paperwork, that the record date is less then 7 days, because QLD EPA usually will send out a penalty, but I'm sure if you send them an explanation every thing will...

Sounds to me like he might be ready to slough, some snakes will do this, look out for the foggy eyes, if that’s all it is, I highly recommend you handle him more frequently, as he will soon realise...
