I do the same but with old woolen electric...

I do the same but with old woolen electric blankets from vinnies, they cut the cords off so it cant be used but the wool is great for insulation. especially when it get well below -5 out side

In NSW a scientific research permit is needed, and you can't get one without and animal ethics permit if handling...both of which are fairly hard to get unless affiliated with a research organisation...
