Mine suffered this after eating a day old chook, thinking back it was probably too large a meal for it. The snake developed the same symptons as yours, the swelling came and went, he never ate again...

I also use heat rocks for about the same amount of time too. I only use Zoo-Med now as that brand I have NEVER had fail or burn my snakes or lizards. I have had a few of the ones in your pic fail on...

Might be hypo, hard to tell at this early stage. I have 2 that look like that, only one ahs stayed the same after 6 sheds, the other one has gotten darker with every shed. Keep us updated and good...
