one other suggestion

Pythons can get a bit finnicky or complacent about feeding if they are fed too much to often.
And Antaresia pythons are often over-fed!

You could try a pair of long tweezers (or similar) to offer him a fresh thawed mouse
making sure he bites the head first, then you leave the room
