Two snakes, one enclosure

This is probably a really stupid q, but is it ok to keep two snakes in the one enclosure? and if so what snakes go well together?

ive heard that melamine is the best as it has that glossy coating so its easier to clean and is more hygenic...for the same reason. although ply is cheaper
