The other thing to consider when using plastic tubs is that with major changes of temp, the plasticizers can and will seep out of the plastic. theres some pretty awful chemicals in plastic...

I have a heap of fruitbats that come to my backyard in the night and eat the plums off my trees. they are so cool, I don't even mind that they drop all the skins and seeds...
