Burmilla

Hi Guys
I am looking into the possibility of getting one of these gorgeous little critters
If anyone has one and would like to talk my ear off about their temperament etc, that would be appreciated (I want to make sure that the odds of them being happy in my household is high )
Also, if anyone knows of any breeders that they can personally recommend, feel free to PM me There are quite a few breeders to choose from out there but I want to make sure that I am getting the best I can
Cheers and thanks for your time
Bex

A Burmilla is a breed of cat. It was created by crossing Burmese and Chinchillas, but has since been recognised as a breed in it's own right.

Doesn't look like it would taste any better than a regular moggy. Are they easier to skin or something?

My response was genuine

And bump's are like publicity you know, there's no such thing as bad publicity

Seriously though, if you are looking for a cat that thrives indoors 24/7 and gets along well with other cats, I would recommend a Ragdoll. They won't get bored and rip the house apart if you are at work all day. Can't comment on the Burmilla's as I've had no experience with them, sorry.

ok personally.. id go a tonkinese

the burmillas with age tend to have blader problems and keeping them inside means wet patchs on the couch. they are hard to train,,

a tonk is cross with a simease and burmease
avail in 3 colours... white or mint my fav or a chocolate

Thanks MissB and Kimba
Yeah, I have thought about a Tonk but I wasn't sure if the temperament would be too similar to that of our Bengal and in turn have them hate each other LOL. She's VERY in your face, follows you from room to room and is only happy when someone is paying her attention. She's very vocal too lol.
From what I had read about Burmillas, they thrive on attention but are not demanding. Rather sit in the background until you notice them.
As for the Ragdolls, they are such STUNNING cats, but Luke is allergic to most cats and I fear that the long hair would set him right off! They ARE one of my fav looking breeds though!
Ideally I was after an Egyptian Mau but Luke doesn't like the look of them and as it is, it seems to be very hard to find a NICE looking Burmilla! So many of them are ugly but the odd few that have the good genes are beautiful!
Thanks for the advice guys - and Kimba, are the bottom ones classed as 'white' or 'mint'? They are quite sweet!

the one that looks chocolate is the mint.. weird i know..

the bottom ones are just white.

the good thing about tonks is they dont malt. and people who are alergic to cat hair dont have any problems with the tonks.. as tonks are crossed with simease they have alot of play in them but they wont follow you around demanding attention 24/7 id suggest getting a girl tho, as the males grow bigger and even when desexed are realllly vocal.

ragdolls loose sooo much hair. and require brushing, i know crap all about reptiles... but with dogs and cats.. im ur girl

lol, great Thanks for that
I have found a breeder in Vic who breed both Tonks and Burmillas so I have left a msg for them asking their advice.
Both of our puddies are girls so I'd definatley not rock their boat with a boy!! lol! Though I DO love how much Inca talks. Love love LOVE it! (I'm a weirdo I know!) Speak of the devil, here she comes now!!
Well, I'll see how I go with the breeders info - hopefully I can come away knowing exactly what I am after
Cheers!
