Make sure its a pulse emitting one,on/off ones are no good for incubators.

Switch to a habistat pulse,now it sits on the temp spot on.
As they dont switch on and off but they keep sending out little pulses of heat.

I was only getting a few months out of my globes with a on/off thermostat then i bought a pulse style and get 15-18months and there acurrate to point one of a deg.

if you run a pulse thermostat on a bulb it would be lucky to last a day
maybe you have a dimming thermostat.
