Hello,
I am all a bit new to this game and I am trying to find a spotted python or snake of placid nature that can handle being handled (when appropriate).
I'm no beginner to animal raising, but a beginner for snakes. But I have loads of local help.
I live locally in Cairns and have a suitable enclosure for the python.
I can deposit money direct into a bank account as way of purchase.
If you're keen to trade, know someone who can help, or just basically want to give me a pointer please feel free to Email me: slim6y@yahoo.com
I am fully looking forward to hearing from you...
Thanks
Paul

first of all welcome to the site and a spotted is a good choice for a first snake my first was a diamond python and when i first got him he was a bit snappy so if u get a snake that is snappy be persistant because usually they r just settling into there new environment and they feel threatened but after a while they should settle down and become as placid as can be but before you purchase a snake make sure u look into every snake that u are interested in and make sure u ask as many questions as u can remember there is no such thing as a silly question good luck and happy herping

Hi - thanks so much for your quick responses... I already feel at home!
I do have my heart set on a spotty... for a number of reasons... they're local to this area... they're beautiful, they're easy to come by, look at Coatesy's one, that is one beautiful snake!!! So I guess a spotted is a good choice... eventually in the future I think a diamond, olive or black headed could be on the cards....
Thanks again to those wonderful and quick replies...
I have PM'd you Coatsey - no stalking me with that phone number aye
Cheers
SLiM

Just to add to this... I just put something in general herp... I was asking do you think it is better to buy a Juvey or an adult? Because one of my students (who i trust) has offered me his 8 year old spotty... Do you think it's a good idea to get that? Sorry for double posting this question... But your thoughts totally appreciated.
And Coatesy... you're stealing the show with your spotty... hehe.. I gotta admit, with snakes like that in the world, who could dislike em?

YES!!! I won't take her home just yet for two reasons.. Reason a) I haven't got my herperium set up yet (that's this weekends job) and b) my license is still in the post
But I have a brand new python (trying to put photo up here)... And was bitten by my first ever snake today... WOW... It's the happiest day since the birth of my daughter
The pyhton I am getting is beautiful... I have named her Peyote and she'll be home with me in around 2 weeks time. I am so so so happy, and have you to thank for it!
Now where do I attach photos???
