Um depending on snake upto probably $4-500.
I dont know wot type of snakes there are but yea black would be awsome. Am i asking too much? . the local petshop is selling some brown baby snakes for 250 but i know they make a huge profit i think it would be better for the seller and buyer missing out on the middle man.

You won't be able to get a pure black or pure green python in Australia, no question about it.

Look at the reptiles you can keep on your license, see the name and look up the python and it's price.

Get a slug monster Diamond python if you want a black snake on a C1 licence.

not sure what u can have on a c1 licence, but a water python is a very dark snake with a yellow belly.
your best bet is to find out what species u can keep, then look up pics and prices. also take into account the size the snake will get to make sure u have enough room.
keep in mind that therre can be a lot of variation within some species such as carpets.
good luck.

Red Belly Blacks are actually usually quite placid. Not a great first snake however lol
