Hi,
Pretty much the wrong time to be looking as Its only the start of breeding season,
But I'm after a young Eastern Snake-Necked Turtle as a present for my girlfriend.
I'll be travelling to Canberra, the weekend of the 10th and 11th of November to take my girl to the Zoo and was hoping to kill two birds with one stone,
Anyone who can help with advice I would greatly appreciate hearing from.
Also any Canberrian's know of other cool places I should visit that will be open on weekends? please PM me (sorry if this is considered chit chat just didn't see the point in starting a new topic  )

I've been looking into the types of Turtles a lot further, and I also like the Murray Short-necked Turtles.
Whats the most I should be paying for a Turtle?
URS has some Murray Short-Necked Hatchlings for $65 but for freight to my local Airport it'd end up costing me $135... is this too much?
I know when we got my friend one for her 21st birthday it ended up costing us about $90 from a pet store in SA,
I have everything else I need enclosure wise, just hunting for the right little friend to go in it.
