I have a choice out of 1 orange phase bearded dragon OR 2 hatchling eastern
water dragons i am a first time owner but have had experience in reptiles
through vet nursing and want some advice in which would be better for me as
a first time owner.

I would go for the bearded dragon

Go for the Beardie mate, much easier and more enjoyable to keep for a first time owner. You will get far more interaction to you personally from a beardie rather than an Eastern Water Dragon.

me too my beardies love me but my waters hate me and i've spent more time with them then the beardies

I'm with you Afro, i don't think theirs a better pet lizard than a beardie, blueys come close but still don't have the charm.
