Dam shame about the lizard. Your doin a great thing though. Hope all goes well.

poor thing

ive seen afew lizard that have done that to their lips at pet shops

Proper UVB and a proper diet. The little guy is doing really well now. It's a great little lizard and from what Aaron's told me, has made some great improvement over the years.

will his lips heal?

i saw at the melbourne zoo a green iguana which looked like it had the same thing. i hope that it was obtained like that and it wasnt the zoos fault

Many lizards inflict such injuries themselves. Many lizards are very skittish and when someone walks past the cage they run straight into a wall. I remember when i worked at Taronga Zoo all the Basilisks were very skittish and many had the same problem as the lizard above. But they all had 1st class care.

Regards Alex

More than likely his face will stay that way and i don't know all the details of how he was kept
