Here are some photo's my son took. It was amazing how yoda changed colour. When we were inside he was very red/orange and the rest of him was very pale. Within a couple of minutes of being outside he was turning really black. This was unusual because he doesn't normally go that dark.. The only difference is that the maggies where singing.. Maybe that scared him

Does Yoda prefer to stay very close to you when he's in the backyard ?

Bet he enjoys all the new smells and tastes and likes tasting things he sees there.

I know beardies change colour when outdoors, usually darker. Perhaps this is to absorb heat quicker when basking in the sun.

could be, it was such a beautiful sunny day yestrday
ianinoz - nope, he likes to take off to start with, then after a few minutes he's happy to come back and have a munch out or a bask

AAAAAWWW! How old do they have to be to know to come back to you? My 2 are 10 months and scoot off then I have to round them up when its time to come in lol

ahhhh see , do they know their names?? You call them.. :)
nope seriously, l like to think he comes back to me but really, the garden is maybe 6 foot by 10 and l position myself near the nusturtiums and the basking rocks.. his favourite spot.
So he's not really coming back to me but where he is used too.
