Now i found this today on my golf co**** (Dent island, Whitsundays) it had been dead for a couple of days ( ate a skink that was too big and the skink stuck a leg out through its guts).

It was had been damaged by ants, no eyes etc.

about 2 foot long

As wide as an average persons index finger

Very narrow head

front fangs/teeth

grey on top

grey belly

sorry about the bad pics, it was really sunny and i only had my phone and was in a rush.

Possibly a GTS ... just a rather dark one.. which is typical for the area you live in

Grey underbelly ? def not GTS, though you are correct in saying they can be very dark here.

maybe an eastern small eyed snake? not sure new at this and looking at a east coast snake id book

Some sort of Demansia, i was leaning towards vestigiata but could be wrong.

Looks like an Ord Snake Suta ordensis but he'd be a long way from home.

What about a Yellow naped snake
