has anyone here ever seen a golden brush tailed possum or a tree kangaroo in the wild? both very interesting species imo, with tree kangaroos being so unique but not so known about, sadly.

Seen a golden possum in a zoo, even patted it, but never seen one in the wild. Like in reptiles, the colour is due to a partial lack of melanin (hypomelanistic) which gives it it's colour.
 
sad how little of australia inhabited by tree-roo's, i haven't even ever seen them in captivity, same with golden possums. both very interesting tho.
