Work's sending me up to Cairns for two days towards the end of this month for PC Deployment. Unsure how many i'll have to setup but i'm sure i can smash it out fairly quickly and still have everything done properly whilst ensuring the cabling is neat and tidy.

If i have some time leftover.... What's around? Anything nearby the city? Wont be able to travel that far out of town tho as i'll be Uber / Cabbing it around.

thanks heaps!

I haven't lived there for quite a while, but I think there's a croc farm on the way to Mossman.

if you go to Machan's beach at night, sometimes you can see crocs. It wouldn't surprise me if you could see them at any beach at night.
[doublepost=1519948130,1519947619][/doublepost]not reptile related, but i think one of the shopping centers has a huge butterfly avery. Cairns also had a frog hospital when I was there, not sure if it's still there though.

Kuranda Venom Zoo may be something if its still around..

Last I heard ( about a year or so ago) the Frog Hospital were looking for a new premises. Their lease was expiring and they were asking for anyone with a suitable property they could rent or be donated to them.
Since then they have moved to Mission Beach.

Take a side-trip out to Lake Eacham... You'll see the 2 endemic species of turtles - Saw-shelled turtles and Johnstone River Snapping Turtles. ;)

You'll most likely see the introduced, non-endemic Krefft's turtle too.
