Hello! Have been mainly a lurker here and posting every once in a while but I guess it's time to introduce myself! I am a new snake owner. I just started taking care of a corn snake some months ago which was given by an older cousin. I am here mainly to learn new things. I plan on documenting what I learn here through a blog someday to help beginner snake owners as well.

If you live in Australia, owning a cornsnake is illegal and will result in expensive fines if you don’t surrender it immediately to DEHP where it will be destroyed(euthanised). It is considered an invasive species that competes with our wildlife.

If you are not in Australia, welcome to the forums

No worries. I don't live in Australia. But I am also interested to learn about other snakes as well.

Thanks. If that's the case, please update your location in your profile from an Australian address.
