cought this moth in my garage tonight

i thought it looked pretty cool up close, didnt know if they all look this groovy this up close!


what do you think?

We had one of those on our back wall - took off as I was changing to my macro lens.

Amazing Critter.

I caught one of them a few weeks ago. I only got to take a photo of it in flight as it started to fly when i took the camera out.
 
frog food

I found one in my garage also and was going to feed it to a Green Tree Frog but I had a change of heart and let it out and gave them woodies instead.

Cool....thats much nicer than the "old lady" moth we get here, love the eye spots...they use them to try and scare off predators....thanks for showing mike.
 
Very nice princess......i know its a silk moth....no idea which one...perhaps use that link that miss croft put up to ID it if you wanted to know, thanks for showing us.
