Bite?

My husband just got home from filming out the back of ipswich Qld. His ankle is swollen and he has this bite on his ankle. His ankle cant be seen from the swelling and he said he didnt feel it happen, but it is two bite holes and he said its sore but not unbearable. He has been filming in water and on set is outback sort of bushy area. From the bad pic (sorry) does anyone think it could be a small snake or spider or what?? The puncture marks are about 1cm apart but perfectly in line.

Yeah thats what I said but it happened yesterday, and they have an onset nurse that looked at it.
Wouldnt he be fine if that time has lapsed and hes still walking and talking or is it possible to have a decline a couple of days later?
I did tell him to go have it checked, but his answer was "the movie cant stop for a bite unless my legs about to fall off" To which i said "I better you it will stop if your dead"
