wow.... there big

cant they climb the tub?

You'd need a big bluey to eat one of those! :p
How much did they set you back?

my mates parents own a block of land with rainforest on it, i collected them myself.

are they active or do they just like sit around?

A mate of mine owns a banana plantation up this way at Kin Kin and has heaps of the giant snails. They try to get rid of them because they eat the roots of the banana trees!

lol dont know. The species your mate gets craig is probably the giant panda snail. This species is much more localised and known only from a few rainforests in SEQ

I am no expert on snails - but, from the shape may be African Snail (they are trying to keep them out of Australia).

Giant Panda snail looks like a giant garden snail (Different shape).
