Silicon - how long

Hey guys,

My father in law is building me a timber 4 x 2 x 2 enclosure for my beardy and il get her a mate at some stage too.

My question is if we use Silicon for joints how long should we leave if nefore she can move in?

Also does anyone have any ideas on diy backgrounds, housing furn etc?

for the background buy some expanding foam, spray it to your liking, then carve it with a knife to get certain rock like features then paint in plaster and ocre, works a treat
