As long as they have good weight, and brumation is done properly, size does not matter, as they won't loose hardly any weight at all if done properly. I would try to keep small dragons eating though, but not by moving the dragon ie "waking it up" but by better heating, maybe even night heating is needed. These days I let all my dragons take two years to reach full size, the young ones slow right down in winter but remain eating smaller amounts every day.

I'm very interested in this thread at the moment as I've just bought a 3 month old beardie and although he has been sleeping a lot lately I've been picking him up sometimes when he is asleep to warm him up and feed him, he avoids the warmer spots so I've been giving him baths. JasonL you say this is a bad idea as it cause heart rate rises but as he's so young I'm uncomfortable not feeding him, what do you suggest for one so young?
