HELP!!! Gecko+Flash on camera

I am wondering if i have blinded my knobtail because i took a photo of him and the flash was on by mistake. he didnt respond to my finger being infront of his eye but about ten minutes later he did, have i caused damage????

I'm like that after someone's taken my photo with a flash - it's those spots you see for the next few seconds that make it really hard to see anything.
