Now rodents (and the occasional chicken/quail) are the usual prey species for our snakes, but does anyone feed anything more unusual?

With the current "rodent shortage" on the coast (and the fact that I don't breed my own anymore), my snakes have started eating pigeon.

My family breeds racing pigeons and the snakes have been devouring some culls.

i've been experimenting with various food items.

the levis looks like hes ready to kick some *** haha

i would probably feed a levis something a little smaller.

My Darwins don't mind chicken necks, but I thaw these in a bag with rodents. If they are on shed they won't take them. Bredls will soon be big enough to try for the necks, too. Very cheap meals, but I alternate rodent with necks.

"small children" go down well with those 10m + carpet pythons that people seem to see travelling across the road in bushland at the back of the Glass House Mountains...
