If it is not injured, release it where you found it. You are probably causing it more stress by keeping it as a 'pet'. Send it back to where it came from... and besides its illegal to take snakes from the wild. If it is injured, pass it on to a wildlife care that specialises in reptiles so they can rehabilitate it and relase it!

i dont wont to let him go if i can get him to eat he is gorgeous and like i said he stays with me and he loves his inclosure

Let the animal go. Get your licence and buy a captive bred animal. What you have done is illegally poached a native animal and now that its on here you will probably be getting a knock on the door any minute now from the DECC.
You don't know the laws regarding native animals mate, and you've just declared your guilty of poaching on the web.
We all make mistakes and yes the herps are addictive, but do it for the animal. It doesn't love you and never will. Let it go.

Definatly a Bredli!! My boys never bit me and is a breeze to look after, never refused feeds, sheds perfect;y and bredli are the best looking carpets too, they have the most unique markings unlike all the other carpets which are just a variation of colours, oh and of course diamonds are unique too, but at the end of the day its up to you as any carpet will be a great pet!!

ive saved a 3&a half foot carpet python from the wild from birds attacking the poor thing ive kept it for 2 weeks now to help him recover, he is active no signs of sickness or fatigue and i still cant get him or her to eat ive tried pinky rats pinky mice thawed out and i tried live mice and he still wont take anything. could anyone please help as id hate to see the little guy die, he does drink though

Monty, it's nice to see that you saved it :) but you now need to release it back in the same area you found it. Get a licence and do it the right way or you will always be waiting for a knock at the door :(

Here is another vote for the humble Murray Darlings.

They really are a great python to start out with, they are very hardy and incredibly docile .
VOTE ONE FOR THE MURRAYS

Lol Troyster! Dont be getting all political and stuff now! Had enough of politicians!

I am also for Murray Darlings, was my second & 5th snake that I got, have never had a problem with them yet! Awesome tolerant, docile and cruisey snakes they are, and I've never had a problem with feeding them either! They love love LOVE their food! I've never had them think I was food either when it was non feeding days etc either, like one of my other childrens ... Thats all he ever thinks about these days...but thats another story! ;)

I say go the murray darlings!

I'd go with a bredli or a stimmy. Love them. Mind you my female BHP huffs and puffs a bit but has never bitten and I have a Darwin that isn't phased at all what is going on around him.

Get a jungle! never had a problem with them! Best snake in my oppion! Havent been bitten by a jungle either!
