I think it is suffering from "blurry head disease". Like "pinhead" syndrome it can be relatively common. Unlike "pinhead"syndrome, there are lots of photgraphic evidence of it.
this is what a mate of mine is trying to breed again this year pattern wise and temprement this lil one has never bitten even hasn't stricked, 2008 cape york coastal hatchy.
also I think that lil one of yours will turn out to be a fantastic looking animal after a few sheds, too bad for the blury head though.
