Ceramic fittings??

Hey all just a quick one how do you go about fitting these do they just screw straight up to enclosure roof or what.. Pics below

wot does the bum of them look like? are you able to screw into it, ie through the enclosure wall into the fitting. or mount them on something to then screw into the enclosure wall?

if its a wooden enclosure, you should put some sort of heat proof base between the enclosure and the fitting, gotta remember ceramic fittings can get very hot

Reptapets make heat resistant spacers for ceramic holders.
I've used them in my enclosures.

I bought mine in Ballarat , they were quite expensive- from memory about 15 or 17 dollars each I think.
