wow Lssah thats sik! im tryin to make one like that, would it be OK with a heat lamp instead of mats?
and people with upright tanks like that how do u heat them with a light? just one at the top with multi-level bask branches?

It would go down to personal preference and varying opinions I would assume.

MY personal opinion is yes it would, but I feel that the lamps (and mesh cages) detract from the finished product. So mine was made specifically with that in mind. i didn't want cables and crap everywhere. I wanted a more "natural" look.
and besides, i couldn't be bother spending X amount of dollars on globes everytime they blow! heatmats are a one off expense (and a prob thermometer to watch the heat).
Kaiser sits on the mat and stays warm - she moves when she needs to
 
Hey all I know this has probably been done a 1000 times but can anyone who would like to show off there enclosure do so in the thread + I am setting up a knew enclosure and would love some ideas.... Thanks all

so someone that dus use a lamp, what wattage globe wood be best in a tank 1700mm tall?

It would have cost a mint 2 have all that - and to run it!
