hey guys, this Q is mainly for people from west aust, but iv seen a few woma's (WA captured) and blackheads for sale on these forums in NSW etc... which are legal to keep in WA with cat 4 license. has anyone brought a snake intersate and had it freighted here or is that not permited ? i understand coastals etc cant be brought in, but what about woma and blackheaded... any info would be great. thanks guys

Pythons can be imported from interstate. Unfortunately its one way traffic out of here.

As the people above have already said,
Pythons are NOT allowed to be imported from other states as of IBD and OPMV in some Eastern States pythons.
We are allowed to Export Pythons to other states, though after they are in another state we are not allowed to export them back in.
You can try Pilbara Pythons as they have the lowest prices on Womas ($950each) and BHPs($1200each) in WA.

reptilerader in rockingham has cheap Stimo's.. All snake are more expensive in WA though. It sucks! :x

You do realise that IBD was possibly first recorded in a wild animal in WA as far back as 1999? Also just because the keeping of reptiles in WA has not long been legal in that state doesn't mean that reptiles both native and non native weren't kept prior to that? To imply that WA animals are free of disease or virus is misleading at best.
