I think that the initial statement about engineers, doctor etc. is a little inaccurate. I'm assume that most people got the number pretty quick and I'm pretty sure the average person on APS isn't an engineer. Although it still give a warm fuzzy feeling believing that I am smarter than a bunch of engineers, architects and doctors.

that must be easy 'cause i'm useless at maths and worked that out in about 10sec's.

engineering is 10% knowledge and 90% common sense, however, most engineers lack the common sense bit......:rolleyes:

Took me all of 2 seconds.

1x1+1 = 2
2x2+2 = 6
6x6+6 = 42
42x42+42 = 1806
1806x1806+1806 = 3263442

So the answer is 3263442.
These types of questions are still fresh on my mind as I had to study them for employment recently :p

6 hours for a doctor? i wouldn't trust those doctors then! i've always been good and mathematical and spatial puzzles, that took me about 10 seconds :p then again give me even a simple word puzzle and i'll be stumped and never find the answer! lol

i doubt a doc would take 6 hours for that took me bout 30 secs.

got it in 3 minutes - I'm a computer programmer by trade

1x2 = 2
2x3 = 6
6x7 = 42
42x43 = 1806
1806x1807 = 3263442 also works.

im not going to lie it took me a bit but i got it in the end
but it dident take any more than 30mins

did anyone try the game? i can't solve the chess board, i have recombined the GOODLUCK message to read GDUGKOOL where my GO=a4 LU=b1 OD=c2 and CK=d4 giving me a2 d4 c1 b4 but when put into the chess board after the first four given references i dont get anywhere, any hints?

sorry got it, i was entering my codes assuming an a1-d4 configuration not the a4-d1 chess board configuration, hehe!

less than 5 seconds....good to see that i have not forgotten everything from school about maths!

um I did this yesterday and was good at maths but better at spotting patterns, this was an obvious pattern
