Hi all

I know I have asked this question before but cant find my post. Is it okay for Rodents to be in the dark most of the time?? I want to store them in the garage which has not any windows etc... so would be in the dark 99% of the time. Any thoughts?
Andrew

I keep mine in the garage, I just open the door a few inches when I am at home to let in fresh air and a bit of light.

They should be fine mine are in the dark most
of the time they realy only come out at night
when there wild don't they

i keep mine in a shed, with no windows. i also open my door every now n then for some fresh air. mine are breeding with no probs..

Rats and Mice are nocturnal, so being in the dark should not be an issue, however it might be a good idea to let light in everynow and then so they get some uv. Not sure if they need it for development - maybe you should give them supplemental vitamin D in milk or something?

This is what happens when they are kept in the dark for to long....
