My two boys and their Dad went fishing today at a local spot, creek access with bush behind. My husband rang me a couple of hours into their trip, and told me that the 9 year old had spotted this snake, and caught it. A little green tree python he said. So I came and checked it out. Nope, not a green tree python so Im told. He was released where he was found, and who knows, we might see him the next time they go fishing. Note to self (and husband)........ MUST EDUCATE SON NOT TO PICK UP ANY RANDOM SNAKE HE SPOTS, even when an adult is present.

lol nice snake, yellow faced whip snake if you didnt know, a bite from that sized snake would sting, hatchies dont hurt, got bitten a few times by a little one yesterday out herping.

I'm glad you know it's not a Green Python, but do you know what it is??
YFWS's are hard to catch so they did well... I guess.
What's more amazing is nobody got bitten.

Lucky there was no bites- Yes educating your son a little more may be a good idea
