I've never kept geckos, so I'm planning on getting some later in the year.

I don't know much about them, they all seem so fragile. Are Northern Spiny Tailed Geckos good for a first gecko?

Also, what would be the ideal enclosure size for a single adult or a pair?

Northern Spiny's are alright as a first gecko. They are easy to keep. The main difference to some other geckos is to just make sure they get some uv light.

An enclosure 45 X 45 x 60cm (WxDxH) would be a good size.

Hi Naledge,

To give you some ideas, there is a good link to building a Gecko enclosure (with Northern Spiny tails) on The HerpTrader web site.
Click on the 'links and caresheet' button on the left then scroll down to 'gecko enclosure' ;)

All the best!
