Ok so I'm fairly new at this game (breeding snakes), but I have just bought an 18 month old female Bredli, and I'm wondering what's going to be the best way to get some eggs from her. Not this season obviously, I'm way too late, and I've heard that you shouldn't breed snakes before they're 2yrs old. So I figure next year, as long as I've got a boyfriend for her, I should be ok.

What temps should the enclosures be sitting at for optimul mating? Here in Sunny CQ it doesn't really get that cold...

Looking at all the threads about other people's snakes having babies makes me want to get my girl gravid next season

Thanks,

Mel

You had better think longer than next season as well!
Bredli are late maturing so you should be planning on 2012-2013 at a minimum.
This will give you plenty of time to research the whole reproductive
cycle and be properly prepared to attempt it.

Wont breed untill at least 4 years off age.
I know 1 or 2 might..........
Should research well truely before mating them.
There's incubation, feeding etc to consider as well.

Keeping and breeding australian pythons is a great book that will give you heeps of info on every stage of the cycle $50 great value for money!!!!!!
