media mis-labelling of snakes!

Carpet python slithers on to inner city bus in South Brisbane | Courier Mail

I'm no expert but is there any way the snake in the picture described as a carpet python is a carpet python? Looks to me like a Stimmie or Spotted, furthermore the report says they believe someone brought the snake onto the bus on purpose and left it there. Who in there right mind would do that! Thoughts?

End of the day it's no big deal a snake is a snake to the public, at least they got the species right. As long as they don't use a pic of an anaconda when a stimmie was involved there isnt an issue.
