He was always going to be let go where he was found but i was in a rush typing it b4 and it was ment to say what should he do about the blue looking glue down his back... lol stuffed my own post up haha
poor lil guy looks half blue from it all ...

If it is at his work in a built up area get it removed
There are plenty of snake handlers etc in Adelaide and surrounds
If that is too expensive ring of the wildlife parks
They can give the best advice for your area

About the glue
without knowing the type of glue that answer is impossible
A vet would know
But NO SOLVENT at this stage

Are you sure it is a snake. Looks like a hooded scalyfoot to me from that picture. Can you get a closer one of the head?

I would be careful! It also looks a little like a baby brown... hard to tell from the photo... there is a big dif between the bite from a brown and a legless lizard, so better safe than sorry!

Really hard to get a good idea but tend to agree with above Possibly a baby brown... Either way it should be let go in the area it was found..If you cant get it to somewhere more suitable...

i just got the same snake as above checked by a vet it was an eastern drown, deadly. i released it in the national park.

looks like a baby brown to me. very lucky not to be bitten if they handled it.

tassie97 i dont think snakes in normal parts of aus have fleshy tongues. unlike down in taswegia lol. no offence.

Bucky, you are right snakes do not have fleshy tongues but pygopods do have a fleshy tongue. He was helping to rule out one or the other, he is showing his experience and knowledge quite well.

i would say Brown, although picture not clearest it certainly looks hatchling brown to me
