mealworm beetles

im looking at breeding mealworms. what i would like to know is can the beetles climb? like on plastic or glass. so will i need a lid on the container. or tub/fishtank

nope they cant climb but i would still suggest a lid, without it the tub seems to get infested with moths. The larvae does make great food but they web up the substrate and are a bit of a pain when they go flying everywhere
