I dont have a 'pool room', I have a 'poker room' with a card table, fish tanks, and reptile enclosure, all my toys are split between that and the shed although sometimes Im allowed in the rest of the house Ill play the pub poker series whenever I can and do the odd trip to the casino. Besides that its the odd footy tipping comp and thats about it.

ps the pub poker is free, you just win booze and who ever wins the home games buys a slab and pizza next time, not so bad.

Can't cope with gambling, it's too depressing when I lose. A very occasional lotto ticket is as much as I can handle.

I love it, I hit the casino a little, never walk in with more then $100, and only when Im ok with loosing it,

All up Im way more up then what I am down, have left a couple of times $100 out of pocket, but left alot with alot more then that


plus I love ufc and love putting around 10 on every fight, makes it more fun

gee thanks wranga for calling me a loser *facepalm* thats such a generalisation dude. theres gambling and having the odd flutter then theres those that just sit at the slot machines all day in pubs because they have nothing better to do then waste money. so what are alcoholics *be careful how you respond to that* my uncle is an alcoholic yes i call him an idiot and the rate hes going he may not make his 60th but he knows what i think of it, my dad was as well before he married my mum so yeah, a topic i feel strongly about. one of the guys that comes to ADLC (activities for daily living centre) in gawler is a gambler but he's the nicest bloke i know

My Nana plays the pokies every now and then. Perhaps twice a year, max.

Whenever someone says something about it, e.g. blanket statements that gambling is bad, she responds with:

"well love, where else these days can I have that much fun for $5? and it lasts me about an hour"

Love it! Biggest win is about 500 but have lost 1500 once! Haha but I have one 200 to 300 regularly! Not do it much I'm married now lol

Yeah i gamble, not going to disclose in what as its a pretty big cash maker for me we have a pretty big set up of around 20 guys who research a certain event year out and share the info etc amongst ourselfs on a private forum and then rape the betting agencies once a year, biggest collect was last year $1,500 outlay for a $12,000 return one bloke outlayed $150,000 for a $3mil return and bought ANOTHER house in sanc cove up in queensland. My mate went big risk and big reward where as i "hedged" he put down $3,000 and got a back $58,000 now drives a lovely merc. 09 was the first year i gambled put $200 down for a $3,500 return on the same event. Dont bet on anything else though.

I agree...and say with pokies how the sounds/lights are meant to make you excited and aid in the addiction...I just find it embarrassing and annoying!
I don't not do it for ethical reasons...I just don't do it because personally all forms of gambling bore me

Haha, yes exactly! I won a few dollars last time I put $2 in and it made really annoyingly loud noises at me... I was like "What the hell?... SHHHH".

Ok I admit it, I gamble.
that aside for fundrasing for our footy trip a few years back to new Zealand we raffled tickets for a wallabies jersery with all the names on it and we did that every week for a few months at shopping malls and stuff. Our favourite line to use was " every winner gets a prize" heaps of people thought oh goody.
We raised $65000 dollars. Was one hell of a trip.
