Where do people go out in Ipswich?

I'm spending my first weekend up here and I'd like to go to a pub and maybe see a local band or something. Can anyone suggest a place that is generally fairly popular?

I went to a place I think it was called THE SQUEALING PIG, man ive never been in a seedier place in my life. Unless its been cleaned up id give it a wide birth. If you do go there I bet you dont stay for more than 1 beer.

Try the Jets club, pretty good place.

lol thanks guys. Yeah I went to the squealing pig for dinner in my first week here and decided to skip it.

There is some in Brisbane.
They are all getting a bit siht now anyway.
But Rosies on Edward Street is always good on a friday night, then the Step Inn on Wednesday nights and Saturday Nights.
