How to attach heat lamp

Hey Ya'll!Im looking at building a melamine enclosure for my little south-west carpet, probs 900x600x600just curious as to how the lamp and cage is attached to the roof of the enclosure?is it as simple and a screw in hook then hang the lamp off that?any opinions or tips welcomed

Hi there, you buy a simple ceramic eddison screw fitting (URS makes one) and it's just 2 screws into the roof of the enclosure and you need someone handy to wire it up or have an electrician do it for you. Or if you already have a hanging fitting then the way you explained would work i guess but you would need to make sure the cord was attached to the roof securely and screw a light cage to the roof over the whole thing so your snake couldn't climb up and wrap itself around it.

the ceremic light fittings are really easy to wire up. aslong as you have comon scwence you should be fine for something like that lol
