One of my Darwin girls laid my first eggs for the season today. She laid 24 fertile eggs and no slugs. :D Nice start to the season. I took a couple of happy snaps and thought I'd share.

Awesome stuff! I have girl having her prelay in the next couple of days. I cant wait!!

Thanks all for the nice comments.

Congrats can't wait to see the little guys when they come out :D

I'll make sure I get some pics when they do.

Good stuff, how was she when you lifted her off them?

She was fine. I have found a technique that works well for me. I place a towel over the female. I use the towel to unravel her and keep her head covered the whole time. They don't seems to mind as much this way. I then remove the laying box, thoroughly clean her enclosure, put her old hides back in and then give her a good wash down to remove any scent of the eggs. Then I put her back in her enclosure. I find this helps to settle them down quicker.

very nice congratulations :)
what a terrific start to the breeding season for you!

Fantastic stuff!
If the hatchlings are anything like the pair I brought from you from last seasons clutches, they'll be rabid feeders, grow like weeds and have a nice placid temperament.

Looks like you'll be in for a busy season!
