Blood!!

Can anyone please help? I have a pair of Beardies (boy and girl) together in the enclosure. On going to put them to bed last night, there was an alarming amount of blood on the floor. Closer inspection of the two of them showed a smear of blood on the inside of his back leg, and on her, some blood near her back legs and cloaca.

There are no obvious outside injuries. Any ideas?

PS they are both just as active as ever, and eating as normal today.

i have never had this but if there is blood coming from the cloaca id be off to the vet. How old are they? breeding age? How long have they been in there together?

were they mating?

i saw on a bluey thread the girls claw snagged the blueys hemipene making it bleed (like heaps,..)

i have also heard that girls can bleed (a smear, not heaps) when mated the first time,..

just ideas,...

Many thanks, Chris, hopefully thats what may have caused it, but it's off to the vet just to be sure all is okay!
